What a sunny day!

We did our religion studies outside at the end of the school day.
LET'S LEARN OUTSIDE!

At the end of every day, you'll find first grade studying religion. During the spring, I often take my class outside to the park at the church to do religion studies or buddy reading. Today it was so warm and sunny that I couldn't help but take them out. First grade was cheering with excitement. When we arrived outside, we were not the only class with the bright idea. Our plan was to sit on the edge of the big toy to do our religion review but kindergarten and second grade were out enjoying some fresh air on the big toy. We decided to do our religion review in a four square play area. Once we finished our religion, we enjoyed our end of the day snack, and played with kindergarten and second grade for a few minutes. Once they left, we studied our spelling words. Each student had to spell a spelling word to cross the monkey bars. Our goal was to get everyone to the other side. Once we got to the other side, first grade wanted more spelling words. They requested challenge words. I gave them more words that I am constantly having to help them spell. They are becoming stronger in spelling by the day. Keep it up first grade!

Don't mind all the uniform sweaters being off....it was way too hot!

Playing with our kindergarten friends!

If we can't do a silly picture....they will do this during normal pictures. So, I always let them do a silly picture.
