Spring in bloom!

We began our ant unit last week. First grade was very excited about having their own plant to nurture and watch grow. We planted brassica seeds mid month and it only took a few days for our plant to sprout a tiny stem and little leaves. We measured how much they grew and documented out notes in our science journals. First grade loved their journals and recording data about there little plants. Each morning when they enter the room, their plants are the first things they look at. I cannot wait for them to see them full grown and to begin a few of our other plant activities.
